The Peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate in Enugu State, Barrister Sullivan Chime has said that if elected, his administration will give priority attention to infrastructure development, human capacity improvement and social restructuring.

Barrister Chime made this known while speaking when traditional rulers from Enugu West Senatorial Zone presented him with the traditional "offor" a symbol of authority signaling their acceptance of his candidature for the governorship race ahead of other contestants.

He told the people that his government will be consultative-based and will ensure that both party faithful and non-party members will be carried along in the scheme of things for the purpose of lifting the state to the next level.

Barrister Chime said that his government will be guided by the provision of the rules and policy of the PDP and praised the leadership of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani for his dynamism and foresight in transforming the state.

He said that he will only seek to complement the numerous achievements of the present leadership which he served under various capacities for the last seven years.

According to him, ''no one government will finish all that it is set to do. We have the party manifesto, we must continue to fulfill our promise and meet the targets we set for ourselves".

He said that his closeness to the grassroots occasioned by the fact that he was born in Enugu and lived all his life in Enugu, placed him in a vantage position to appreciate the needs of Enugu people.

He also praised the boldness exhibited by the royal fathers for their support and wondered if he would have gone ahead with his aspiration without their support.

Speaking shortly before presenting the offor staff to Mr. Chime, the royal fathers described him as their worthy son and assured him of their total support to ensure his success at the poll.
