The Chairman of the Broadcasting Organizations
of Nigeria (BON), Alhaji Abubakar Jijiwa, has stated that though he had
been to virtually all states
in Nigeria, he was yet to see one that equals the massive developmental
initiatives of the Chimaroke Nnamani government in Enugu State.
Alhaji Jijiwa said this in Enugu shortly after he led members of the organization on an inspection tour of the various developmental projects executed by Governor Nnamani in different parts of the State. Alhaji Jijiwa and members of BON, who were
in Enugu for the 43rd Annual General Assembly of the Organization, stated
that the developmental projects
executed by the Governor in the State were a real inspiration for democracy
and urged his colleagues in other States to emulate the Enugu State Chief
Executive whom he described as an actively achieving Governor. "I have gone round this country, I have gone to several States... I have not seen anything like this anywhere. Therefore, this is a real inspiration to democracy and people will have to learn from an actively achieving Governor such as the one in Enugu State", he continued. Aljahi Jijiwa, who visited the Ebe-ano Tunnel Crossing, the ESUT Medical College and Teaching Hospital at Parklane, as well as the International Conference Centre and State Judiciary Headquarters, described Governor Nnamani as a focused and committed leader who has the interest of his people at heart. He said further, "Definitely, I can see that there is focus, there is commitment, there is leadership and also prudent management of resources because there are so many States that have much more revenue than Enugu State in the Federation Account but they are not achieving. . ." He congratulated Governor Nnamani for these works in the State and congratulated the people of Enugu State for having "this steadfast, focused and development-oriented leadership. I have never seen a thing like that and I am personally inspired," he said.
