The famous Michael Okpara Square, overlooking both the Legislative Complex and the Governor's Lodge, is the venue of major ceremonies and state functions in Enugu State. For Long, the square had suffered prolonged neglect which left it in a state of decay. A recent comprehensive rehabilitation of the square, including its access roads, has resotored the arena to its majectic splendour.
