APRIL 15, 2005: ENUGU GOVT. ROLLS OUT RED CARPET,
DRUMS FOR SENATOR KEN NNAMANI:. The
Government and people of Enugu State today accorded a hero's welcome
to their son, Chief Ken Nnamani, who visited home for the first time
since his recent emergence as President of the Nigerian Senate.

led top
functionaries
of the State to receive the Senate President and over 50 other
senators and 20 members of the Federal House of Representatives
who accompanied him, at the Akanu Ibiam Airport, Enugu. The colourful
airport
reception
ceremonies
over, Governor Nnamani took advantage of the unprecedented assemblage
of National Assembly members in Enugu to showcase Enugu's giant strides
in infrastructural developmental as he conducted them
round some mega projects of his
administration, including the Golf
Housing Estate the ESUT
Teaching Hospital, Chime
Avenue road dualization project, Ebeano
dual carriageway tunnel crosing, New
Haven/Independence Layout link road, and the International
Conference Centre. Other projects visited were the State
Judiciary Headquarters at the Three Arms Zone, Independence Layout
Enugu, the Loma
Linda Estate, the
new permanent site of Enugu State University of Science and Technology
(ESUT),
Ebeano City, and the Nyaba
Bridge which links Amechi-Awkunanaw (Senator Nnamani's home town)
