DECEMBER 19, 2005:- Enugu
hosts the first CONFERENCE OF GOVERNORS, LEGISLATORS AND LEADERS
OF SOUTHERN
STATES OF NIGERIA
where far
reaching decisions
were
reached
on constitutional reform, resource control, state creation, power
rotation, national census and other contentious issues in
the National Question. The conference expectedly drew a galaxy
of political gladiators
from the southern
geo-political zone including 16 state governors,
the Senate President, Deputy
Speaker
of the
House
of Representatives,
ministers, senators,
members of the House of Representatives, House of Assembly Speakers,
ethnic nationality leaders and representatives of women and youths
